Type-Moon and French Bread have announced a new entry in the Melty Blood series with Melty Blood: Type Lumina.
Check out the scans below for a first look:
Type-Moon will be in charge of the scenario and character designs while French Bread handles the development side of things for the new Melty Blood.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina will feature over 10 playable characters, each from Tsukihime-a piece of blue glass moon-. In addition to over 10 color patterns each, you’ll get to customize the character colors as well.
The single-player story mode will feature event stories for each playable character. It will also come with other modes including one in which you compete against the clear time. It also mentions something about “exhilarating battles with simple controls” so even those who aren’t good at fighting games can enjoy.
The scans have revealed four playable characters so far with Shiki Tohno, Akiha Tohno, Arcueid Brunetud, and Ciel. Lastly, French Bread revealed that the game will indeed have rollback netcode for its online play.
Melty Blood: Type Lumina is scheduled to launch for the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One worldwide in 2021. The official Twitter account for the game is currently on private with the words “COMING SOON” on its profile. The original Melty Blood was first released for PC in Japan in May 2004.
